The Shimano SM-SH56 is a multi-directional release type SPD cleat set used for mountain biking and city riding purposes. The Shimano SM-SH56 cleats are specially cold-forged and heat-treated to increase durability and rigidity for heavy use even under severe conditions. The SM-SH56 cleats can only be used with mountain or touring pedals (SPD). The release mechanism of SH56 can be achieved by twisting the heels in any direction.
