The Shimano WH-RS171 Wheelset is an excellent choice for road thru-axle compatible bikes as they provide a wider and lighter profile. The 19mm internal width and 24.6mm external width is plenty to accommodate wider tires. They also feature center lock disc brake mount option which also opens a wide range of options of rotors. Both the wheels are Thru-Axle type which provides excellent stiffness and provides better performance than previous generation models.
